Victorian Oil Painting Scottish Highlands Glencoe Glencoe canvas antique %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
1 Fine British Work of Art Victorian Oil Painting Scottish Highlands Glencoe From Kingshouse.
Subject beautiful traditional Scottish Highland mountain landscape views by Lochaber.
Title "Glencoe from Kingshouse".
Having such wonderful perspective, in the foreground your focus is first drawn to the solitary green patch of vegetation nestling by the stone boulders, then the heather with brown grassland vegetation, then the tranquil flowing stream that runs through the valley. In the background the magnificent views of the mountains. Overhead overcast clouds that are descending create an atmosphere of intrigue and mystery especially with the light coming through the central top clouds.
The use of colour is exceptional with this artwork.
Located within the awe-inspiring Lochaber Geopark in the Highlands, the deep valley and towering mountains of Glen Coe were carved out centuries ago by icy glaciers and volcanic explosions.
Glencoe is picturesque making it the perfect base for exploring the area of Lochaber, known as the Outdoor Capital of the UK.
The area is known for waterfalls and trails that climb peaks such as Buachaille Etive Mor and Bidean nam Bian.
