Victorian Mahogany Triple Wardrobe Compactum

These late Victorian compactum wardrobes are not only incredibly handsome but very practical too. They will hold a lot of clothes and will take up less room in your bedroom than a double wardrobe and a chest of drawers, side by side. They also split down easily so can be carried up stairs and rebuilt in minutes. There is no need for screws.
This is a particularly clean and handsome mahogany compactum. It is made in mahogany and is an inverted breakfront and dates to around 1890. Just look at the quality of this wardrobe! It has a dentil cornice above which is inlaid with ebony and boxwood and this chequerboard inlay is repeated across the front of the wardrobe and frames the flame mahogany panels in the central cupboard doors and in the cornice. The wardrobe has full length bevelled plate glass mirror doors and the glass is very clean. It stands on a shaped base on bracket feet.
Just look at the quality of the suit of graduated drawers, each with their original brass laurel leaf design handles. It is a delight.
The wardrobe will hold a lot of clothes. It has two hanging sections, one with foot locker drawer, and a shelved central cupboard. The wardrobe has a panelled back.
The wardrobe is very clean for its age and will be a real statement piece in your bedroom. It will be a pleasure to dress from a wardrobe like this.
The wardrobe is 83 inches high and 75 inches wide and 22 inches deep.
