Victorian Inlaid Walnut Davenport Writing Desk
A great quality late 19th century davenport writing desk with wonderful inlaid decoration, leather writing slope and carved leg embellishments.
Features four large working drawers to one side and four blind/dummy drawers to the other. There is also a delightful little drawer that pulls out and pivots towards the desk.
Very good general condition, with lots of attractive aged surface wear. There is an aged split to the front underside of the desk and the back panel but these are merely aesthetic and not unattractive. The maple lined desk interior is in good shape with just some old ink stains.
English, late 19th century.
H: 80 W: 54 D: 53 cm
Height to underside of desk: 63 cm
Height to front side top of desk: 73 cm
