A late 19th century Victorian gilt brass and polished mahogany magazine or newspaper stand.

The mahogany platform base is raised on gilt brass ball feet.

The three gilt brass dividers are in a faux bamboo design with a raised oval shape in the centre to use as a handle.

The stand or rack is stamped underneath with the maker's name "Townsend & Co".

The stand is in good condition. (Circa 1890)
