lovely victorian ebonised davenport desk with ornate incised and gilded decoration, the brass spindle galleried top with tooled leather writing slope lifts to satinwood interior fitted with compartments for pens etc and inkwells fitted with glass ' mosley's revolving' ink bottles but it also has the unusual feature of a hidden slide mechanism to reveal 'secret' stationery compartments too. turned and reeded columns to the front, locking side door which opens to reveal interior with four fitted drawers and standing on castors for ease of movement.
this really is a lovely decorative little desk, some wear and tear commensurate with age and use but overall it is in good solid condition.
