Antique Victorian 19C inlaid oval burr walnut tilt top loo breakfast table.
A breathtaking top, with matched veneers and ebony / maple inlays on a very impressive carved base.
This is a lovely table, that is full of age, charm and character.
Very rare and attractive.
The table is heavy, solid and has no loose joints, standing on a large and impressive base with dissimilar period brass and ceramic castors.
Lovely patina, figuring and colour, would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 129cmL x 97cmW x 73cmH (154cmH when tilted up).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are veneer imperfections, such as chips , wear, light bubbling etc., but all is now stable and common with burr walnut veneered antique tables, adding to the charm and authenticity of the piece. There are just a few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, but treated for good measure. Some wear in the castors and just a tiny bit of play in the tilting mechanism as is usual and to be expected.
