DESCRIPTION:

This is a stunning and superb top-quality Sage & Co London 8 drawers oak antique shop display counter. The counter dates from approx. c1910 and is brass framed and oak, the oak has mellowed to a beautiful colour throughout the counter. The cabinet has 8 drawers that all have oak fronts, sides and back showing the quality of the piece and it has all its original decorative brass handles. The counter has had a new laminated glass top as the other was too badly scratched and fogged. The counter has 4 glass sliding doors on roller bearings making the slide very smooth. It has two inner glass shelves above the drawers giving displays the best advantage. This counter display cabinet is suitable for many uses they look absolutely stunning in kitchens and other domestic settings for any crafters or hobbyist out there as well in high end retail establishments such has clothing or more popular now bakeries for cup-cakes and larger celebration cakes the inner glass shelves lending themselves to the displaying of cakes greatly.

WORKSHOP REPORT:

This counter cabinet has been through the workshop where a new glass laminated top was fitted and it was given a general polish and that was all that was needed. There is a small chip to one of the drawers almost unnoticeable. There are some signs of previous ownership as one would expect however nothing that requires mentioning. This is a superb piece.
