An attractive circa 1860, Victorian nursing chair. With floral carving to its top, circular upholstered rear back rest which is flanked by carved panels to either side. This piece is traditionally upholstered with horsehair and spring seat, and stands on elegantly carved front legs, and is finished off with four porcelain castors. The chair is manufactured from Walnut, and is in extremely sturdy condition. As you can appreciate, the outer covering material is worn and slightly faded due to this items age. All that is required, however, is a new piece of material for the seat to bring this item back to its original and former glory.
