An elegant Victorian French style planter in walnut with kingwood banding. The cushion moulded top with brass beading holds the tin liner and removable lid. The serpentine shaped frieze having 4 black ground marquetry inlaid panels and the whole stands on tapering cabriole legs with ormolu mounts and sabots. The tin liner is waterproof and the lid has 2 handles on the reverse side not shown in the photos. The shaped under tier with kingwood cross banding and further brass beading.
