Superb quality and highly impressive this very large Victorian Oak Extending Dining table is just in,seats 20, 18 with space to spare 16 with lots of arm space etc. We will correctly photograph when we are able to set this up. The current pictures are taken where it is now stored and will be updated as soon as possible, they show the table in a shut position with only one leaf in place. As it is seen in the picture it is 85 inches long and there are a further four leaves which take it to 15ft long. It is a huge table well suited to a banquet if needed. A really special quality table from a good cabinet maker in Sheffield, it would be hard to find its equal. We suspect that this table would have been made for a wealthy Yorkshire business man and his family at the latter end of the 1800s. Having five leaves and extending to about 15ft overall it will seat 20 if need be as mentioned above but as only one leaf is needed to be in when closed it has the flexibility of the other four to be in or not, whichever is the choice of the purchaser. The well detailed quite fine leg for an oak table of this proportion, sits on the original substantial brass castors.
