Unusual George II Silver Scallop Shell Dish
Stunning and unusual, heavy George II silver dish finely cast as a scallop shell. Hallmarked underside for London 1742, maker Peter Archambo I.
It measures 4 1/4 wide, 4 3/8" front to back and 1 1/8" high. It weighs a substantial 128g/4.1ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs. Light surface wear, good and appropriate for age and the hallmarks are perfectly clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
