A rare mid-century Vogue Vanities powder compact in new old stock condition - unused and looking like it is just fresh from the factory. Absolutely glorious! The enchanting enamel lid adorned with hand painted floral motifs, which include roses, bluebells, forget-me-nots and daisy form flowers.
A traditional English 1950s vanity. All the original accessories are present. The felt pouch is signed
" VOGUE Vanities MADE IN ENGLAND ". The compact will never need to be cleaned as it was coated with a layer of lacquer at the point of manufacture which will prevent it from tarnishing. The mirror gives a perfect reflection. The inner lid is signed " VOGUE Vanities TRADE MARK MADE IN ENGLAND "
All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The pink fabric puff is signed " VOGUE Vanities MADE IN ENGLAND ". All the accessories - pouch, puff and sifter are pristine. Also this compact comes with the service guarantee. The base of the compact is beautiful too - all gilt and decorated with a fine spiral.
This mid-century compact measures 3" & weighs 98.3 grams.
