Two 19th Century Knitting Sheaths
Two beautifully turned knitting sheaths, the longest is in ash and the shorter is a wonderfully coloured fruitwood. Both have glorious patina and show no signs of abuse, they might easily have been bought for sweethearts who had working sheaths and these kept for best. For sale separately at 70 pounds each but have been together for many years in my collection and purchased from someone who owned both for even longer.
