Superb Large Antique Oak Bookcase / Cupboard
Superb Large Antique Oak Bookcase / Cupboard.
This large English 19th century antique oak bookcase is very good quality.
Dating from around 1870, this eight door oak bookcase has a good strong, flared cornice with four panelled doors in the top section with four matching doors in the base, the bookcase stands on a plain, square plinth.
All the brass knob handles are period and complete.
Inside, behind the top four doors are six adjustable shelves, in the lower section, behind the four doors are two fixed storage shelves.
All the doors have a nice oak clash moulds.
In very good condition throughout, the oak is a lovely, pale original colour, inside is very clean with a later paint finish.
Splits in to two sections at the waist.
Perfect to use again as a bookcase, as it was in a solicitors office, or cupboard in the home.
