A stunning antique pollard oak bookcase of full height and inverted breakfront form. The bold moulded cornice with convex frieze decorated with carved ribbons above the applied square columns with fluted detail and Corinthian style capitals. The 2 glazed doors open via a brass handle with lock and keys to reveal 3 adjustable oak shelves. The base section having a useful drawer with applied mouldings and original brass handles flanked by conforming applied columns above a wonderful pair of panelled doors with further raised and shaped panels with carved cartouche to each centre. The whole raised on a stepped and moulded base supported on large turned feet. Condition - Superb original condition with a wonderful patina, mahogany lined and retaining all original handles and locks with keys. Dimensions:- Max.Height…81’’/ 206cm. Base Height…39’’/ 99cm.
