Strike repeat Carriage Clock by Henri Jacot
A fine grande sized gilded carriage antique clock by the esteemed maker Henri Jacot, in a bamboo style case. The clock is in exceptional original condition.
The eight day movement strikes on a gong, with button repeat function. The movement bears the usual Henri Jacot parrot trademark and the serial number 12451. This dates the clock to around 1900. The case is also stamped with the same serial number to the base.
The perfect 2¼-inch white enamel dial has Roman hours and Arabic minutes and sits within a gilt mask.
Matching blued steel hands.
