Square Anglo Indian Elephant side table
Super decorative and beautifully carved late 19th century Anglo Indian carved hardwood Elephant side table.
These antique tables work very well with a piece of toughened and polished glass to give you a smooth surface and somewhere stable to hold your glass of wine!
Always pleased to find such pieces of antique furniture, the carvings throughout really are fabulous. The square top depicting the central elephant surrounded by two tigers and monkeys, with scrolling foliage running throughout the top.
Supported by the four carved elephants and root carved stretcher which also shows 3 cobras around a central dish...there would have been a forth cobra which is missing, but I will have one carved and polished to match its friends!
Fun piece of antique furniture and also shows incredible craftsmanship.

22 inches or 56cm high
