Solitaire Board & 19th Century German Marbles

Condition
Age-related wear, overall the set is in excellent condition, with ten marbles having a single or few very small nibbles.
Dimensions
The board is 24.4cm in diameter and 2cm tall
The vast majority of the marbles measure around 2cm in diameter.

Technical Description
Antique solitaire board of thirty two 19th-century German marbles. The marble collection consists of twenty latticino core swirls. The remainder are solid and ribbon cores, all in various colours. The marbles are arranged upon a decorated 19th century mahogany solitaire board with a surrounding well to store removed marbles when playing. A superb set and unusual board, the marbles being well above average size.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the unification of Germany, which officially occurred on 18th of January 1871.
