Sweet little early 19th.c. Welsh dresser base South Wales c.1810. Unusual small size, just 59" wide. Top made of three oak boards with an applied bead to form a plate stand (can be removed if preferred) and an unusual mahogany crossbanded edge. Over three larger drawers and two small knife drawers (the small drawer at the middle being a dummy drawer front). With cockbeaded edges to the drawer fronts and simple Georgian pattern brass handles. Double arch apron to the front, also with a cockbeaded edge. Raised on three turned front legs joined to the straight rear stiles with a potboard display shelf with oak boards and rails. Solid oak sides, pine drawer linings and back board. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Please contact us for more images, delivery and shipping quotes.
