Small Victorian walnut hanging corner cupboard
This is an exquisite Victorian carved walnut corner cupboard or spice cupboard. This will post in two days to you if you live in the UK.
I love the quality of this cupboard. It is justy beautiful. Solid walnut carves so crisply. The cupboard is only small. It is small enough to be used as a spice cupboard in a kitchen but it would be a pity to hide such a little jewel away in a kitchen. It would look equally good in a principal room.
The cupboard is late Victorian. Just look at the crispness of the foliate carving to the frieze! The cupboard has a top shelf (modification to gallery - see photo) with a door below with small astragals and a brass escutcheon and key. There is a lower plinth, ideal for a small bowl of potpourri!
The cupboard is in good condition. I have never seen polished walnut on a period piece in such fresh condition. It glows! There is a slither of wood off the top of the dentil cornice - see photo.
This cupboard will post anywhere in UK for £23.00
The corner cupboard is 36 inches high and 18 inches wide and 9.5 inches deep and the cupboard runs along each wall from the point of the corner for 13 inches.
