Small Mahogany Longcase Clock With Rocking Ship
A good sized solid mahogany longcase clock dating to the early 19th Century. It has an arch top case with a long arch top door. The well panted enamel dial depicts a Naval ship entering port , which rocks in time with the pendulum swinging. The dial also has a subsidiary seconds hand and is signed by the maker Thompson Woodbridge. It has a 8 day movement that sounds the hours on a bell. Philip Thompson is listed as working in 1830.
The case and dial are in excellent condition, the movement has recently been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like to seee a video clip of the antique clock working and the ship in the arch rocking please email us.
