Very unusual mahogany workbox on stand with decorative brass mounts c.1930. Simple box (internal dimensions 18″ x 13″ x 7½”) in solid mahogany with a shallow arched lid. Quality brass carry handles, long escutcheon plate and corner straps featuring Art Nouveau style floral design against a copper background. Raised on slim tapering legs also in solid mahogany with a shaped foot and joined with twin bow stretchers pierced and joined at the centre. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops, key supplied.
