An unusual late Victorian stool, the seat in the form of a large carved scallop shell and standing on 4 cabriole legs with "X" frame shaped stretchers. The design of this stool was probably influenced by the Venetian Grotto antique furniture makers of the 18th.& 19th. Century. In very good useable condition. Size:- Height...49cm. Width...47cm.
