Shabby chic pair painted French bedside cabinets
hese are a very sweet pair of French painted bedside cabinets. Shabby chicing can be very effective at softening lines and giving a warmth to what otherwise would be austere Antique antique furniture and these are an excellent example.
This pair of bedside cabinets are French. They probably date to around 1930. The bedsides are made in a hard wood, possibly mahogany with oak linings to the cupboard. The bedsides have a lot of shape in the carved beading to the cupboard doors, the carved detailing to the rounded corners and in the shape of the cabriole legs.
The cabinets have been painted and distressed at some time. I love the french grey to the top and door panel. It brings a feminine softness to the lines. The cabinets are painted in a white that has been distressed and shows the chips and rubs of age.
These are a very pretty pair of bedside cabinets. If you like the distressed look of French rustic furniture then you will love these cabinets.
The bedside cabinets are each 23 inches high and 22 inches wide and 15 inches deep
