This is a very good quality set of ten antique 19th Century oak country farmhouse ladder back rush seated dining chairs, circa 1860 – 1890. This is an original set and not matched up. The set consists of two carver chairs with arm rests and eight side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven rush seated seats. The base of the chairs feature turned legs and stretchers all round for strength (twin stretchers on the sides). The front stretcher is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality.
