An elegant set of 4 antique Victorian balloon back dining chairs in walnut. They have carved top and bottom rails and back splat, the legs being reeded and turned. They are upholstered in a plum satin fabric with a pattern of flowers and diamonds in beige. Dating from circa 1890.

The frames are fairly solid and sturdy with good patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. The upholstery is fairly old but firm and sound, the fabric appears fairly new and clean.
