Stylish Mid Victorian quality birch table from a good maker with a rich original untouched patination of time and usage. The two plank scrub top over two mahogany lined frieze drawers, one stamped C Hindley, Oxford Street. All raised on well turned end pillars down to elegantly spread cabriole legs ending in bold signature pillbox feet enclosing the original steel and brass castors.
English : Circa 1850
Note Charles Hindley & Sons took over the esteemed cabinet makers Miles and Edwards in 1844, and moved in to their Oxford Street premises. the Company continued to trade until 1892.
