A pair of solid Scottish Silver Arts and Crafts trumpet vases, after a design by Archibald Knox, stamped with the maker's mark of Glasgow Silversmiths Robert and William Sorley and hallmarked 1906. A superb example of Scottish Arts and Crafts Silver.

Standing at 20cms in height, with a lightly hammered finish, these vases taper upwards from a circular foot, flaring gently at the rim. Three elegantly curved 'legs' connect the bottom third of the vase to the foot.

The hallmarks are clear and crisp, and the underside of the vase is engraved with Sorley Silversmiths Glasgow.
The vases are in excellent condition, and have been professionally cleaned and polished.
