A very nice, Georgian Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy or Sauce Ladle made in Aberdeen by James Erskine and dating from c1795.
James Erskine is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Aberdeen c1792 to 1818.
It is marked with the the maker's mark "JE" for James Erskine and three "thistle" marks.
It has the initial "B" engraved on the handle.
A nice, rare Scottish Silver Ladle.
