A lovely pitch pine bookcase. We date this bookcase to the late 19th century.

The bookcase is supplied in a single section and sits on the side panels. The bookcase has four sturdy open backed shelves with a shapely gallery with sides on the top shelf.

The bookcase has an overall height of 79.5" (202cm), a width of 49.5" (126cm) and a depth of 10" (25cm).

The internal shelf depth is 10” (25cm).

This lovely rustic bookcase remains in good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some minor indentations and marks with wear to some edges. It has a fairly ‘rustic’ charm in its appearance and may have been used in a school or similar in its lifetime.

This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase. It could house a good sized collection of books or object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
