Rossiter W-S-Mare Fusee Wall / Bracket Clock
An English Victorian fusee dial wall or bracket antique clock. A mahogany case with choice flame veneers and a cast brass bezel surround. Scrolled foliate carved decorations below the dial. A glazed back door. A smaller 10" painted dial signed 'ROSSITER WESTON-SUPER-MARE'. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1875.
A versatile antique clock that can be hung on the wall or placed on a mantelpiece or a piece of antique furniture.
The Rossiter family of clockmakers worked in Weston-Super-Mare and the surrounding areas from 1807.
Height 17 1/2 / 45 cms Width 12 1/2" / 33 cms Depth 6 " / 15 cms.
