River Landscape Print By Duncan Palmar Aylesford
Duncan Palmar was born in 1964 and started painting professionally aged 19. He had his first exhibition that year and soon after this he gave up painting to study Architecture in London but returned to pursue his career as a full time artist a few years later. He continues to attract collectors who appreciate fine oil and watercolour paintings. Inspired by the Newlyn School of Artists who worked in Cornwall in the last century his distinctive representational style captures texture, light and atmosphere in his landscapes and coastal scenes.
He tries to evoke the same principles in his treatment of the interplay of light that those artists so successfully achieved in their paintings. More recently he has diversified into a more fluid approach using oils on gesso board as a medium for his beach scenes to show his love of the sea with its movement, rhythms and space.
Duncan Palmar’s signature landscapes capture the essence of light, warmth and atmosphere so often created by the elements at sunrise or sunset. These stunning effects are re-created in his originals by the careful application of a variety of mixed medias and painting techniques allowing the viewer to be transported into the ambience of these magical times of day.
It is Duncan’s fascination with the works of Turner that influences the dramatic blend of colours that he uses within his images. His landscapes capture the times of the day when nature’s remarkable impact on various different colours within the landscape are at their most spectacular.
Equally adept at painting in both traditional and contemporary styles, his beautiful images capture the imagination of the viewer ensuring that both his fine art prints and originals are in high demand

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt if the item is found to have been misdescribed and the purchaser may be liable for the return costs subject to reasons for return.
