LOT NOTES
This late 19th Century French School oil on lined canvas by Du Pont is a beautiful representation of a river meandering through a meadow. It is easy to see influences of both halves of the art movements of the 19th century in this picture which has elements of both the earlier Romantic Movement and the later Impressionist Movement. Du Pont is a master of his craft and we believe this piece was painted in situ rather than in his studio. A really fine example of this collected French artist.

Additionally White Court Art fully guarantees for a period of 1 year from the date of sale our descriptions relating to age and medium. Our warranty will only apply to the original buyers as named on our invoice issued at date of sale.
