Remarkable Antique Bookcase
A truly remarkable piece originating from the Vendee region of France, constructed with solid oak. Highly carved detail throughout, consisting of floral influences and rural scenes. Impressive carved hunting dogs to each end of the mid-section, complimenting the barley twist columns to both upper and base section.
The base section has two opening doors revealing a great storage area with a single removable shelf. Above these are two sliding drawers. The upper section has two opening original glass doors revealing two removable shelfs which may be adjusted higher or lower as required.
The dresser comes apart into three sections (top, middle and bottom) for ease of transportation.
An extraordinary piece in excellent condition.
