This is a wonderful and very rare Regency Chinoiserie antique jewellery casket dating from the late 18th Century, circa 1790 in a simply stunning yellow lacquer. The casket is of sarcophagus form raised on wonderful hairy paw feet in gilt metal, flanked by bold ring handles to the sides. The piece is in super condition with its original deep green velvet lining and lift out velvet display pad which has corresponding gilt metal ring handles. The casket measures 34 cms wide 17 cms deep by 12 cms high.
