Description:
This is a stunning quality set of four English antique Georgian Regency solid mahogany rope twist top rail dining chairs, circa 1820, with newly upholstered seats, in excellent condition. These sturdy chairs are designed with an attractive rope twist and reeded top rail, secured by scroll end supports, above a finely shaped pierced centre rail. The chairs feature drop-in seats, which have been professionally upholstered in new top-quality taupe colour structured light grey herringbone material and matching braiding, finished with traditional hessian backing to the underside. The seat frame is raised on turned legs. This set of chairs boasts the original polish therefore, they have a fantastic depth of colour and patination, displaying a lovely rich red and brown colour.
If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats recovered, please contact us for a quote.
These dining chairs would look good anywhere, either in a formal setting or for everyday use. They would certainly grace any home or office and are a great investment, as they are extremely functional.

This is a stunning quality set of four English antique Georgian Regency solid mahogany rope twist top rail dining chairs, circa 1820, with newly upholstered seats, in excellent condition. These chairs are in excellent condition considering their age. This is a true set of six dining chairs (i.e., not matched together from other sets of similar chairs). Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chairs but nothing significant considering their age. The chair frames have been checked any lose joint have been glued. The chairs have been cleaned and French polished in our workshop by hand, to a professional standard, therefore, they have a fantastic colour and patination. The drop-in seats have been newly upholstered to a professional standard. The upholstery is therefore clean and free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. If you would like the seats recovered, please contact us for a quote.
