This is a top quality antique dressing stool. It is Regency dating to around 1820 and is made in rosewood. Rosewood was reserved for stand out pieces by Georgian cabinet makers and this stool is bold big and opulent. The stool stands on cabriole legs with carved brackets to the corners. It has a moulded ovolu leading edge and scroll feet. The stool has a pad seat and this has been recovered at some time. The upholstery is clean and attractive.

This is a good large stool which could be used in a bedroom as a dressing stool but equally could be in a principal room furnished in period antiques.

The condition is very good. Joints good. No worm. No damage or repair. The rosewood is well polished.

Good period furnishing piece.

The stool is 17 inches high and 20 inches wide and 20 inches deep.
