This lovely antique writing table dates from c.1800. It is constructed from rosewood, some solid, some veneered over solid wood and has a lovely finish. The table has a top with rounded edges and two drawers beneath with carved shoulders at either side. It is supported on twin cylindrical castors with elongated legs terminating in turned bun feet with hidden castors. A lovely antique piece.

Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some minor nibbling to the veneer around the edges. There are some signs of restoration and repair and there are some signs of old woodworm underneath - this is not active but has been re-treated as a precaution.
