Circa 1890, red walnut S-shaped roll top desk. The solid walnut top has flat slats which are taped to the back, and inside is a configuration of drawers, pigeonholes and pull out trays, suitable for holding large files. It has a large writing surface, and to the base are 4 drawers tapering from top to bottom. The sides are panelled and it all finishes on an enclosed plinth.
