This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A beautiful & rare vintage compact made c.1950 in Paris. The lid shows the famous Parisian landmarks embossed - Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame de Paris & another I have not been able to identify yet. Surrounding these iconic buildings are borders made up of bold spirals. The lid lifts to reveal a good mirror & a gilded powder well with this inscription 'PARIS_MADE IN FRANCE'.
All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The original sifter is in place & so this compact may be used with loose powder or a s a handbag mirror. The base is decorated with an engine turned design of a bold spiral.
This vintage powder compact measures 3 1/2" weighs 122.6 grams.
