This is a beautiful piece - c. 1910 it is a heavy well made powder compact - wonderfully decorated and shaped, it has a mounted enamel panel depicting a beautiful Pre-Raphaelite picture of a fairskinned maiden in red. Nicely sized at c. 3.5" inch wide (8.7 cm) all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal an exquisitely decorated, bright cut internal frame, with a mirror set to the top which is clear and in good order. This is just a little bit special and in very nice condition - it has a couple of tiny marks to the enamel, but to be expected with age. Hallmarked for Silver and marked PA - it is a continental piece, probably Italian. For more pictures or details please do not hesitate to contact me.
