It has been several years since I have come across one of these highly sought after dog themed antique jewellery boxes. A fabulous box made from Walnut with exquisite Tunbridge / Parquetry inlay creating a highly decorative beauty. Of course what makes this a rare and special gem, is the hand painted panel to the top.

The interior has been professionally re-lined to a high standard to match the quality of the box.

Complete with working (replacement) key, this box is in superb condition. 10 3/4" x 8" x 5". Victorian in era and dating to around 1860. Excellent condition.
