VERY RARE 17th century African hardwood neck rest. Made from one solid piece of what looks like walnut but is probably a native African hardwood of some sort. I have been told by an expert in African antiques that this piece comes from Ethiopia. It retains the most wonderful colour and patination.

A lovely piece of treen that would grace any collection.
