Stratnoid ship compact M V INNISFALLEN. This Stratnoid compact should appeal to collectors of Stratton compacts, ship compacts & war memorabilia too. An attractive celluloid & enamel lid showing the magnificent M V INNISFALLEN at sea. The lid is in very good condition as is the whole compact. The case opens easily to show the fan-shaped inner lid which rotates to allow access to powder. Everything works perfectly.
The inner lid is signed 'REG. DESIGN. No 767198 STATNOID MADE IN ENGLAND. The polished steel mirror is very good & gives an excellent reflection. The base is decorated with wavy parallel lines & an oblong cartouche in the centre. The base has a tiny ding on the cartouche & this is reflected in the price. Measures 2" X 2" & weighs 48 grams.
