"Sailing into Harbour" oil on panel by Michael Matthews. This charming small painting depicts a majestic ship sailing into harbour at the end of a long voyage. Michael Matthews was born in Stratford Upon Avon and was particularly interested in maritime history. He moved to America in the 1980's where he has a very strong following and his work is held in important collections in the USA and Europe. This superb small oil painting is signed and is an excellent example of Michael's use of colour and scale. In really lovely condition, presented in a decorative gilt frame.
