Queen Anne burr walnut 1950s dressing table
Elegance and quality are the two words that best describe this dressing table. This is a good vintage dressing table with matching dressing table stool. It dates to the 1950s and is in the Queen Anne style of the day.
The dressing table is made in burr walnut. The dressing table stands on long elegant cabriole legs with beautifully carved feet. The same carving is also on the large stool as is the carving to the knees. The dressing table is serpentine shaped with original ornate brass drawer handles. The top has a glass protector. The dressing table has a triple mirror above with shell shaped crest
The dressing table is very elegant with a simple design which means it would look good in a bedroom furnished in Vintage or antique. It is also very opulent. The contrast between the painted carving and the rich burr walnut is striking.
The dressing table and stool are in good condition, flaking to paint at the back of the dressing table - minor - see photo. One foot at the bottom of the swing mirrors is missing. The glass to the mirrors is clean. The dressing table seat is upholstered and clean. Minor marks to the walnut as you would expect but these are not significant.
The dressing table is 30 inches high and 56 inches wide and 20 inches deep and the mirrors are a further 33 inches high.
