Here is a superb quality mid Victorian chiffonier.

This very elegant chiffonier is constructed from mahogany. To the top is a shaped up-stand with display shelf having elegant scrolled supports, with a beautiful panel below, inset with the most lovely figured flame mahogany.

The base cabinet section has a rectangular top with frieze drawer under. The cabinet doors are panelled, again using beautiful flame figured mahogany with a striking grain. The doors are flanked by elegant acanthus leaf carved corbels. With lock and brass escutcheon to the door, no key.

The doors open to reveal an interior with a single fixed shelf.

The mahogany is rich and warm in colour, with a beautiful patina.

Bees-waxed and polished.

Standing on a solid plinth base.
