Glorious countryhouse scale tall and handsome single bay mahogany library bookcase. The shaped pediment over a plain freize above a single open bay with six adjustable mahogany fronted shelves all raised on a plinth base. The bay flanked by flat columns to either side topped with applied scrolls and charmingly unusual foliate scrolled tulips to the plinth. Good panelled pine back. Solid mahogany sides. Lovely quality and excellent colour, statement size and all ready to place.
Early Victorian : English: Circa 1830/40
