This is a very pretty 19th century black Papier Mache writing slope in nice original condition dating from around 1870.

The interior has a good green velvet writing surface with storage beneath.

The top surface of the piece is beautifully hand painted with floral designs and inlaid with mother of pearl pieces.

The writing slope measures 28 cms by 21 cms by 9 cms high.
