Planchon of Paris Mantel Clock
A fine quality and impressive, large French mantel antique clock by Planchon of Paris. A white marble case with cast mounts to the case. Floral chasing around the 4 columns and surmounted by two love birds. A convex enamel dial with black inner and red outer numerals. Finely made gilt fretted hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell, engraved to the back plate 'Planchon'. Circa 1880.
